Homework planners

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah!

I hope that you all are doing well. Alhumdulilah.

Students received a  homework planner, alhumdulilah! They were distributed on September 15. Students are required to note their assignments in this notebook and mark if they completed the assignment.We, the teachers, will also add any messages or comments if necessary.

The homework planner needs to be in their bags everyday! 

Students still need to learn their lessons daily even if they do not have any written assignments!

Challenge circles

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah!

Students were asked to list their challenges for this year. Firstly, they needed to be honest about their true challenges, and subsequently, develop methods to help them overcome them!

Here are a few of the challenge circles!

Some students said that their challenges were:

• to wake up on time
• to make all their prayers
• to control their anger
• to complete all their assignments

Way to go to all students who completed their challenge circles!

Dear Parents,

Welcome to a new and exciting year in Grade 5! This year will be an active and challenging one. We encourage you to stay in contact with each of your child’s teachers. Communication is one of the keys to success.

The year will be full of events inshaAllah. We have incorporated more activities that promote literacy, reflection and creativity. This year as well, students will be able to test for the entrée en 6e if you so wish. This means that you will need to be strongly involved in helping your child with this program. Teachers will provide extra assistance in Mathematics and French.

Therefore, students will have a substantial amount of work to complete at home. They will have besides their homework, obligatory /recommended reading, and class projects.

We would love to discuss the year in detail with you. Please make an appointment if you have any suggestions or concerns.

Bienvenue à une nouvelle année en CM2! Cette année sera plus rigoureuse et plus intéressante. Nous vous encourageons à rester étroitement en communication avec tous les enseignants de votre enfant. La communication est très importante pour une année réussie.

L'année sera riche en événements  et activités scolaires inshaAllah. Nous avons intégré plus d’activités qui favorisent la lecture, la réflexion et la créativité. Egalement cette année, les élèves pourraient passer l’examen de  l’entrée en  6e si vous le souhaitez. Cela signifie que  vous les parents devez être fortement impliqués et suivre  de près la préparation de cet examen. Nous les enseignants aiderons inshaAllah en donnant des cours  supplémentaires en mathématiques et en français selon le programme sénégalais.

Par conséquent, les élèves auront une quantité importante de travail à terminer à la maison. Ils auront plus de devoirs, de la lecture obligatoire et recommandée, et des projets de classe. Ils auront toujours quelque chose à faire.
