Science Fair / Midterm Exams

I hope everyone has had an excellent weekend.

Science Fair

You really, really need to have a project! Students have this week to pick their science projects! Please also take a look at the handbook (manuel de concours de science) that was given to each student on Friday.

Midterm Exams

Midterm exams are scheduled for March 01, inshaAllah. Students will need to review all notes from September. The exams count for 15% of the final grade. Students will receive their study guides this week inshaAllah.

Literacy circles - English Language Arts

Assalamu alaikum!

In English Language Arts, students are studying two different novels - Stargirl and Misty of Chincoteague.

During these sessions on Monday and Wednesday, students and the teacher discuss the novel together and respond to teacher or student generated questions.

Science Fair 2016 - Choosing a project!

Students will need to choose a project for the Science Fair, like about right now! We will be helping them to complete their projects inshaAllah.

Inflating balloons experiment in science

We were doing a chemistry experiment this week. The main purpose of our experiments is for students not only to observe but to explain WHY their results.

Students work in pairs to complete the task. The participation note is based on how well they followed instructions.

Chers parents,

Nous avons le plaisir de vous annoncer que la collaboration entre l’Institut Français et IQRA BA est toujours effective. Les élèves d’IQRA BA ont toujours le privilège de fréquenter le centre pour profiter des activités.

Suite à notre conversation avec IFD, nous vous adressons les propositions discutées au cours de la dernière réunion.

La vocation de l’IFD  au sein d’IQRA BA est d’encourager les élèves à aimer la lecture ;  la nôtre est de promouvoir le bilinguisme, naturellement avec un souci de style.

Notre intérêt est grand pour les projets que nous pourrions envisager avec l’Institut Français de Dakar notamment :

Cette année les classes de CM2 et 3e ont été choisies pour des visites pédagogiques mensuelles. Cette note fait l’objet d’une invitation et demande d’autorisation pour que votre enfant ……………………………………………………… puisse avoir votre accord pour faire partie des élèves choisis cette année.

NB : Les élèves iront deux (2) fois /mois…et auront droit à 02 livres qu’ils rendront deux semaines après. L’inscription est fixée à 5000fcfa pour toute l’année.

Sleepover - Conference
